OUR history

Forward Sailing LLC is a family-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by veterans of the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Navy, U.S. Merchant Marine and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

We seek to provide military members, veterans, their families and others in the community with opportunities to experience and explore sailing on the Chesapeake Bay.

Forward Sailing's boats include five Tartan 10s, two Catalina 30s, a Morgan 383, and an Erickson 28-2.

We welcome volunteers to be a part of our team. Opportunities include boat maintenance, fundraising, serving as crew on sails, and community outreach.
